In this video we meet Magdalena Fielden, passionate cocoa-chocolate lover, educator and founder of the Grenada Chocolate Fest. 

 
Magdalena came to Grenada with her husband and two daughters in 1998. Now, the Fielden family owns and manages the “Boutique Chic, Climate Smart” and sustainability award-winning True Blue Bay Boutique Resort. 

Over the Christmas holiday one year, Magdalena invited Mott Green, founder of the Grenada Chocolate Company, to share with the hotel guests the extraordinary story of how he started making the first “Tree to Bar” fine chocolate bar in the tropics. After the success of the talk and enthusiasm shown by the attending guests, Mott and Magdalena agreed to create an event showcasing Grenada’s cocoa and chocolate. Sadly, Mott passed away before the event could come to fruition. 

In honour of Mott’s extraordinary story, Magdalena decided to go ahead and create a unique event that involved the local farmers, cocoa producers and chocolatiers to help carry on his legacy and try to keep the Grenada chocolate industry alive.
